OK, yes this is another blog about Agile, but its not your ordinary blog. The goal of this blog is to share information, experiences, and opinions surrounding agile and building good software. There’s a lot of great ideas out there and the hope is that some of those ideas can be shared and or born here.
This blog is driven by me, Matt Badgley. For a couple years I maintained a blog called agilemaniac.com and I chose the term “maniac” as a tongue-n-cheek attempt at humor. Well, someone had me search the web for the word “maniac” and I found that it wasn’t too appealing. Therefore, I figured what do I really like — I like Agile (der) and I like Bacon. So, why not agilebacon.com. Now I know the love of bacon is getting a little absurd, but it is dang good — as is Agile. I have some great experiences seeing agile at work in building software, running services teams, and helping with marketing teams. I firmly believe we should have fun doing what we love and since we spend so much time at work, we should have fun there too. When adopting agile, there will be times things go south (a.k.a. things go bad) — but if we just try to have fun, and keep trying — you will be successful in your agile endeavors.
I am a Lead Agile/Lean Coach and Product Consultant at VersionOne (the best Agile Project Management company on this side of the moon).
