Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose

Delivering Happiness

If you want a fun, inspiring read, check out Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose by Tony Hsieh. Tony tells the story about what drives him, talks through his peaks and valleys, and expresses the energy and commitment it took to help Zappos survive and make it the organization it is today.

Tony’s drive, tenacity, innovativeness, and desire to put people first is what I took away from this book. For this book, I got both the Kindle and Audible version — I stopped reading it as soon as I heard Tony telling the story and hearing from the actual people involved in making Zappos what it is today. I highly recommend the audio version of the book.

Matt Badgley

With a career in Information Technology that has officially reached drinking age, I have one too many hats in roles from Systems Analyst to Programmer to IT Manager to Programmer to Director. I am a seeker of new ideas and learning new things. My passion has been working with product delivery teams to develop into their own identity and simply build valuable solutions by making great software. I have been applying Lean Agile ideas for a long time and leveraging their underlying practices with both a pragmatic and experimental purpose. At the end of the day, I believe in integrity, hard work, trial-and-error, people, and faith.
